Water is getting into a light fitting, socket or the board.
Water reaches electrics in Maltese homes from the flat above, a leaking roof or terrace after a storm, or a burst pipe in a wall. It runs along conduits in the slab and appears at ceiling lights and sockets, sometimes well away from the leak itself.
Switch off first, then deal with the water. A plumber stops the leak; an electrician checks the circuits once it has stopped.
Tell us what is happening and where. It reaches us marked as an emergency and goes to one CheckYourTraders-verified electrician, who rings you back.
